“Entre réalité et esthétique : Quand les sciences représentent l'invisible” is a research and writing work done during my DNSEP at the School of Fine Art of Lyon. This thesis questions the objectivity of scientific imagery, which attempts to represent the microscopic or the invisible, evolving over the centuries and over the new technologies of observation and representation.
